Pauly Shore's Interested Podcast
What up what up! My new podcast has 3 elements: the interview, someone commenting on the interview, and me. Sweet! It's entitled interested. Why do I call it interested? 'Cause I'm actually INTERESTED in the people that I'm talking to, and I hope you are interested, too. Some of my guests include Arsenio Hall, Andy Dick, Whitney Cummings, Chris Rock, and more. Going to drop one episode every Monday at 6:00 AM EST. Stay tuned stoners!

I'm super excited about this week's episode because we're going back to my classic movie, Son in Law.  I sit down with Peter Lenkov, one of the producers and writers.  He was also the executive producer of 24 and created the most recent Hawaii Five-0.  Peter has been a dear friend of mine for years and I'm super proud of all the things he accomplished in the business.  He's a hard worker and he gets shit done.

I'm super, super honored and excited because my agent at WME, Adam Venit, does the commentary on Peter's interview.  Adam Venit is such a super star agent in his own right, representing such talents as Eddie Murphy, Adam Sandler, Sylvester Stallone, and many, many others, including myself.  Adam and I listened to Peter's interview in his office at WME in Beverly Hills.  We all talked about how we started working together and how Son in Law came about.  We also discuss in length my new documentary, Pauly Shore Stands Alone.  So sit back and enjoy the inside of the inside of the entertainment business, and she how shit was done back in the day.  And if you haven't checked out Pauly Shore Stands Alone on Showtime, please check it out.  It's playing all this month.

I sit down with one of the best living comics, Chris Rock. A legend for his comedy specials
and his show on HBO, movies like "Pootie Tang" and "Grown Ups". Chris talks about living
in the Sopranos house, Eddie Murphy around the corner, what it was like coming up in comedy and his new flick "Top 5".

Commentary on this episode is the one one and only Tommy "Cat" Davidson of break-out sketch comedy show, "In Living Color". He shares what it was like starting out with Rock, how Mitzi knows best and showing up for gigs wearing two different shoes.

This is the continuation of last week's podcast - In this episode I interview the very funny Blue Collar Comic, Larry the Cable Guy. He is commonly connected with his stereotypical redneck appearance, thick Southern accent, and trademark catch phrase, "Git-R-Done".

Commenting on this interview is Carrot Top. What most people don't know that links these two together is that they both started doing stand-up at the same time in Florida. His act can be seen in his Las Vegas show at the Luxor Hotel.

Joan Dangerfield is the widow of Rodney Dangerfield; one of the most famous comedians of all time. We talk Rodney, their marriage, and her experiences with him. She was married to Rodney from 1993 until he passed in October 2004 of complications from a surgery he received earlier that year.

Andrew "Dice" Clay, another infamous stand-up comic, comments on the interview. Dice got his break on Rodney's 1988 stand-up comedy special "Nothing Goes Right", which led him to his first HBO special. Dice was the first comic to sell out the Madison Square Garden on back to back nights. He recently starred in Woody Allen's film "Blue Jasmine".

This is a great episode for all you entertainment and comedy buffs out there. I interview my dad, Sammy Shore, and learn about the history of the Comedy Store and his past in comedy. He opened for Elvis back in the day.

Commenting on this episode is my dad's old friend Rudy DeLuca - who opened the Store with him back in the 70's. He's best known for his work with the legendary Mel Brooks.

I first met Michael Steele on my political themed special entitled Pauly~tics. Since then we have become fast friends, and we chat about the current state of politics in our country. He is the former RNC Chairman.

Commenting on the episode is Jerrod Carmichael. If any young comic is on fire right now, it's him. Along with a few TV projects in the works, his HBO special directed by the legend Spike Lee airs on October 4, 2014 at 10:00pm.

Andy Dick: I met Andy Dick several years ago. We did the movie In the Army Now together, and recently he was featured in my Vegas Showtime Special, Vegas is My Oyster. I definitely caught Andy on an off night during this interview. When you guys take a listen, you'll hear why. HaHaHa

Lucas Dick is Andy Dick's real son. I met Lucas several years ago when I did In the Army Now with Andy, Lucas was just a baby then. Lucas is a great young, up and coming stand up comic. And Lucas is actually the father in the relationship with Andy. Classic episode.

This episode features two legendary stand-up comics - I interview Arsenio Hall, and have Paul Rodriguez comment. Besides being known for stand-up, Arsenio hosted a late night talk show, The Arsenio Hall Show, from 1989-94, and it was revived again last year. I had his friend, Paul Rodriguez, comment on the interview, because they both started doing stand up around the same time, and shared similar success in stand-up before moving on to bigger things.

Pauly Shore's Interested #1 - Rick Overton discusses Robin Williams with commentary by Ed Begley Jr.

As the world knows, the genius Robin Williams passed away recently.  I was very affected by this, not just because of his talents, but because Robin was very close to me and my family.  Robin Williams started at my mom's club, the Comedy Store, in Hollywood back in the late 70's.  I've known him since I was a kid. Hopefully Robin is in a happier place now.  He'll be loved and missed by me forever.  So I chose my first episode to be a tribute to Robin Williams, that's why I thought it was appropriate to interview Rick Overton, one of Robin Williams's best friends - and have Ed Begley Jr., who was also very close with Robin, comment on the interview. Enjoy!
